Seems like a hole in the wall, but don't judge it by the boat out front. The chef is incredible and believes in taste and quantity at a small price.

I've driven by this tiny hole in the wall place in McClellanville for years and never took a second look. One day I noticed it on Yelp and saw the reviews so I figured I'd make it a point to head out there sometime to check it out. I was on my way up to Myrtle Beach and decided to stop in. I didn't realize but they were just about to close as I saw the hours on the door as I walked in. I asked if they were open and the woman was so pleasant and said she would definitely take us. Usually you'd get an eye roll and silverware slammed down on your table for that move but, she was genuinely happy to serve us. I was thinking more about brunch but, they serve brunch on Sundays and keep normal breakfast/lunch hours every other day. They were on their lunch menu so I opted for the flounder basket. For lunch, it was a huge portion and well worth the price. Something about the tartar sauce made it extra delicious but, I couldn't quite figure out what it was. It feels like a family run place and the service was excellent... similar to being in your friends moms kitchen for lunch. I can't wait to check out brunch here on a Sunday. Definitely worth taking the nice drive up to McClellanville for something different than your typical downtown brunch spots.

Love this place. Comfortable small town, mom and pop kind of diner. Home cooking. Had the shrimp and grits for breakfast. Delicious. Come here for the local flavor. Not fancy but clean.

Went there for breakfast one Sunday. Had the special Mexican omelet. It was wonderful. Nice out of the way diner. Great small town. Love it !!

I passed by this place for years and even had it recommended to me. I finally tried it but wish I had kept going. It was filthy. More like grimy. Service was almost non-existent. The day I was there, they had NO shrimp! I opted for the fried oysters which were terrible. I see a lot of cars and pick-em-up trucks outside so I can only assume they have something other than edible seafood inside. I give it one star only because there is no negative star option.
